As founder and president of The Female Affect, Ann uses her extensive experience in the financial services industry coupled with her education in the area of human resource development to combine real world experience with proven best practices. \r\n\r\nBefore founding The Female Affect, Ann spent over ten years at ING, one of the worlds largest financial services firms, holding several senior leadership positions. Prior to leaving ING, Ann was Head of Strategic Relationship Management and was responsible for growing and managing all broker\/dealer distribution relationships in one of the most volatile times on record in the financial services industry. From 2007-2009 Ann was the National Sales Manager for the wirehouse and financial institution channels where she led a team of 65 wholesalers to achieve record sales results for ING Annuities. Under Anns leadership, sales increased 66% to their highest levels in company history.\r\n\r\nBecause of Anns vast understanding of the financial services industry, she has been interviewed and frequently quoted in numerous publications including the Wall Street Journal, National Underwriter, Investment News and American Banker.\r\n\r\nAnn earned her Masters degree from Iowa State University in Organizational Learning and Human Resource Development. She holds her Texas life insurance license as well as her Series 6, 63, 65 and 26 securities designations. Ann is active in several charities benefiting women and children in the United States and around the globe. Ten percent of all speaking and consulting fees earned at The Female Affect go to support these charities including Women Thrive Worldwide and The Girl Fund. She also volunteers at Cornerstone Kitchen and the Dallas Dress for Success Program. Prior to relocating to Texas, Ann served on the Crime Victim Assistance Grant Board that funds domestic violence shelters and sexual assault programs across the state of Iowa. She lives with her husband, Randy and daughter, Katie in Dallas, TX.
