James A. Tracy was named SMUDs Chief Financial Officer in April of 2004. Tracy oversees the Accounting and Treasury departments and is also responsible for risk management, strategic planning, enterprise performance management and developing the Districts budget. Tracy joined SMUD in 1989, and has previously served as Director of Business Planning and Budget and as Treasurer. Before coming to the District, Tracy served as a principal analyst for eight years with R.W. Beck and Associates in Sacramento. He has also worked for the Missouri Public Service Commission. Tracy holds a bachelors degree in business administration and a masters degree in economics from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
