Laura Wooster

Ms. Laura Vail Wooster is vice president and head of Insurance Marketing for John Hancock.� In this capacity, Ms. Wooster oversees a team responsible for advertising, creative services, digital marketing, internal and external communications, product promotions, public relations, and websites for John Hancock Insurance. Her team has won numerous industry awards for their creative marketing campaigns and websites, and in 2015 launched an industry-first life insurance solution with an integrated wellness program in partnership with Vitality.Ms. Wooster has worked in the financial services industry for more than 20 years across multiple product lines.� Previously she has been responsible for various aspects of insurance marketing, including communications, consumer and producer websites, market research, and innovative marketing programs. Earlier in her career, Laura was a strategic marketing manager focused on new market opportunities. She also served as an account executive in John Hancock’s International Group Program, which provides employee benefits to more than 500 multinational corporations worldwide. Prior to John Hancock, Laura worked for several years in the international division of a large global bank in New York.Ms. Wooster holds an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a B.A. from Dartmouth College. She is Vice President� of the Board of the Powers Music School in Belmont, MA; actively supports the United Way, Dana Farber/Jimmy Fund, the advancement of women, and other social causes; and is the mother of two boys.
