Bill is an attorney in the Fort Worth Office of Haynes and Boone, LLP, where he practices law in the firm’s corporate securities group, specializing in general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law. He is also in the firm’s Public Law group, and represents borrowers, underwriters, and trustees in bond and corporate financings. He is a frequent speaker to attorney organizations on matters concerning corporate and securities law, corporate governance, and professional ethics.Bill was elected as a Trustee of the Tarrant County College District in 2010 and is currently an officer and the immediate past chair of the District’s Board of Trustees. He is an officer and member of the Board of Directors of the Community College Association of Texas Trustees, which organization is comprised of trustees representing all of the 250 community colleges in Texas. �Bill is a frequent speaker at national and state meetings of community college trustees on topics concerning the challenges facing community colleges, including the effects of declining state monetary support for community colleges (and community resistance to higher tuitions and tax increases) and meeting this challenge by engaging the business and finance community in partnering to develop innovative and alternate strategies that will benefit the business and finance community as well as increase revenues for the colleges.Bill received a B.A (with high honors) from The University of Texas in Austin in 1969 and a J.D. (with honors) from The University of Texas School of Law in 1972.� His academic honors include Phi Eta Sigma, Phi Beta Kappa, and Order of the Coif.�
