Top 5 illnesses impacting employer health plan cost

Driving down high-cost medical claims is always the mission for brokers and their clients. As part of its Workplace Wellness Trends 2017 Survey, the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans has identified the top five illnesses that are impacting employer health plan cost.

Respondents were asked to identify the top three illnesses that drive cost within their business. Those respondents were then divided up between corporate, public and multi-employer group depending on what they identified as. In total, the survey received 530 completed responses.
