Wake up, brew some coffee and eat an omelet. Going to need my protein and energy to get this day going!

Arrive at work and wish everyone a good morning. Answer the morning's emails and check Facebook.
8:30 A.M.
Receive a phone call from a client who just had a baby; add the baby to their health insurance plan.
9:00 A.M.
Meet with a very sweet couple to discuss their health insurance needs. They are both eligible for Medicare benefits and are interested in a Supplement F plan and a stand-alone prescription drug plan.
10:15 A.M.
Sit down to review health care reform briefings. Trying to keep up on all the happenings ... this situation calls for some more coffee.
11:15 A.M.
Head off to my local Chamber of Commerce board meeting. This is my first year on the board and I love it. We have an opening for an executive director and are beginning the process of interviewing potential candidates. Looking forward to meeting some of the candidates.
1:30 P.M.
Back, and meeting with an employer to review their group health insurance benefits. As an independent agent, I review their current renewal policy and show them various rates with other health carriers to ensure we have them placed in the best policy for their needs and premium dollars.
3:00 P.M.
Visit a new local business that has just opened for a ribbon cutting as part of my work on the Chamber of Commerce. I am president this year and have been part of the group for five years. I drop off a few business cards and talk a bit about the new business' insurance needs.
4:00 P.M.
Take a call from a client that is looking for long-term disability insurance and a long-term care policy.
5:30 P.M.
While putting away my files and shutting down my computer, I take one last phone call from a life insurance client - we need to change a beneficiary on the policy.
6:00 P.M.
Meet some great friends at a local restaurant for dinner and a glass of wine. This place has the best thin crust pizza in town.
7:30 P.M.
The weather is fantastic today, so I head out for a nice evening walk with my husband, John. Spring weather is unpredictable but beautiful this time of year in Iowa.
9:30 P.M.
Putting together my lunch for tomorrow. I have to start eating healthier, especially after I tried to down half of that pizza tonight.
11:00 P.M.
Off to bed to dream all about health reform.

But before bedtime, I must make sure my coffee pot is ready to fire up early tomorrow morning.
