A day in the life of John Battey

8:00 a.m.

Account management - meet with my field team on the status of their worksite clients and how we can collectively advance the industry of health care at the workplace to make a greater impact on the health of employees, and further reduce health care costs.

 

9:00 a.m.

Business development - meet with Concentra's business development team as they respond to RFPs, and discuss the various options and opportunities to bring wellness to the workplace, via worksite medical center, certified athletic trainer programs, or even through a greater emphasis on our national medical centers.

 

10:30 a.m.

Analysis of Concentra's EHR systems for our onsite wellness centers - review reports and system issues related to Concentra's EHR system exclusively for worksite center.

 

11:45 a.m.

Client lunch and meeting with third-party administrators who are seeking additional ways to provide wellness programs to clients, either as part of an existing program or as stand-alone programs; also discuss new advances in employer health care models.

 

1:00 p.m.

Speak with leaders of a national fast-food company about Concentra's ability to bring wellness and preventive health care services to its dispersed workforce at its national chain of stores.

 

2:00-2:30 p.m.

Review and respond to e-mail, calls to Move.org national exercise movement about possible sponsorship and Concentra involvement.

 

2:30 p.m.

Worksite implementation process - review with field team the initial set-up of a new worksite wellness center and plan for similar challenges faced by all clients, with the intention of streamlining the process and providing a solution to any implementation issues that arise.

 

3:00 p.m.

Meet with HR to evaluate a new sales engineer role - discuss how this new position works to ensure greater quality control in the development and implementation of new worksite centers. Also emphasized the need to have a dedicated colleague who could work with our business development team to create custom employer-program offerings.

 

4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Review and respond to e-mail, calls to Habitat-for-Humanity about upcoming volunteer projects. Develop presentation for upcoming conference about the impact and value-add that can be achieved through the implementation of wellness programs for the workplace. Collect most recent data from Concentra's data analytics group and contact other resources for the most up-to-date information on wellness. Include forthcoming new services from Concentra that are driving the worksite industry forward.

 

6:00 p.m.

Outline new process and evolution of care delivery with onsite clinical engagement plans, incorporating new technology and future programs to present the next phase of wellness and the benefit gains over the existing options.
