Acclaris, ConnectedHealth partner to advance new health savings account options

In effort to offer brokers and their employer and employee clients additional health savings account options, leading software as a service provider Acclaris is partnering with benefits technology company ConnectedHealth.

Consumer directed models are driving both employees and employers to seek out more cost effective benefit plans while still maintaining the level of coverage necessary for employees to support themselves and their families.

Under the terms of their agreement, Acclaris will integrate directly with ConnectedHealth’s benefits technology to offer easy access to a wide variety of products ranging from Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, and Healthcare Reimbursement Accounts.

The partnership between the two companies plans to utilize ConnectedHealth’s online shopping platform with Acclaris’ SaaS based solutions.

Joe Donlan, president of ConnectedHealth, says studies are showing a strong correlation between a person’s health and financial wellness.

“By partnering with Acclaris, we can offer our customers a wider variety of health savings and reimbursement plan option, which further strengthens our comprehensive offering and ensures that consumers shopping on our platform have access to the best programs and tools to help improve their health and financial security,” Donlan says.

Acclaris provides technology and services that health plans, benefit consultants, private exchanges and financial institutions use to deliver healthcare and reimbursement accounts.
The company provides account-based healthcare plan administration for 1.8 million consumers working for 6,000 employers, including more than 40 Fortune 500 employers.

ConnectedHealth’s commerce platform helps businesses control costs and supports their entire workforce in protecting their health and financial security.
