Employee Benefit Adviser magazine is now accepting nominations for four annual awards:

  • Employee Benefit Adviser of the Year
  • Health Plan Adviser of the Year
  • Retirement Plan Adviser of the Year
  • Voluntary Benefits Adviser of the Year

The awards recognize outstanding service to group benefit plan sponsors by their brokers or advisers. They seek to honor not just sales performance, but other factors that determine advisers’ true value to their clients as trusted advisers. Each award is presented to the nominee who has demonstrated a consistent pattern of innovation and achievement in benefit plan sales, consulting, and/or leadership, as well as overall contributions to the profession.

The winner of the Employee Benefit Adviser of the Year award will win a tropical getaway (a travel voucher valued at $3,000) and up to $750 in travel expenses to attend the 2011 EBA Summit to receive the award. Presentation of the award will be a highlight of the 2011 Employee Benefit Adviser Summit, which will be held Sept. 25-27 in Dallas. Additionally, the award winner will be profiled in the September issue of the magazine. The winner will be chosen from the nominees for the Health Plan, Retirement Plan and Voluntary Benefits Adviser of the Year awards.

The winners of the Health Plan Adviser of the Year and Retirement Plan Adviser of the Year award will receive an Apple Store gift card valued at $1,000 and up to $750 in travel expenses to attend the 2011 EBA Summit to receive the award. Additionally, the award winner will be profiled in the October issue of the magazine.

The winner of the Voluntary Benefits Adviser of the Year award will receive an Apple Store gift card valued at $1,000 and up to $750 in travel expenses to attend the 2011 Workplace Benefits Mania conference in Chicago, July 30-August 2, to receive the award. Additionally, the award winner will be profiled in the August issue of the magazine.

Benefit advisers may nominate themselves; clients, employers, or colleagues may submit nominations too. Nominations must be submitted by June 24. More information is available here.
