The National Association of Health Underwriters recently unveiled a new logo and announced the relocation of its headquarters from Arlington, Va., to Washington, D.C. The National Association of Insurance Commissioners names Jim Woody as CFO. He will oversee the NAIC's accounting and purchasing departments. Woody joined NAIC in 2008 and previously served as senior manager of business and corporate development and he has provided financial oversight for several projects within the organization. InVEST recently appointed Lynn W. Mathis to its national board. Mathis is president and COO of Williams, Turner & Mathis, Inc. in Atlanta. She has been an active volunteer with the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia. Founded in 1970 and based in Alexandria, Va., InVEST promotes insurance education in order to attract individuals to pursue a career in the insurance industry. … Paul Baldwin joins Huntington Bank as president of Huntington Insurance. He brings more than 21 years of executive insurance experience in commercial brokerage, market development, strategic planning, underwriting and wholesaling. Prior to joining Huntington Insurance Baldwin was senior vice president and regional managing director of the southwest region for Wells Fargo Insurance Services. He succeeds the former president Peter Dunlap, who was named National Sales Manager for Huntington Wealth Advisors. … Curt LeBeau is appointed as vice president of insurance operations at United Heartland. LeBeau joins United Heartland after 21 years with Wausau Insurance Companies where he was most recently regional vice president of Underwriting. New York Life Insurance Company elects General Electric Company executive Ronald Pressman to the company’s board of directors. Pressman retired from GE after more than 30 years of service and was most recently President and CEO of GE Capital Real Estate. … Steven A. Kandarian will succeed C. Robert Henrikson as chairman of MetLife’s board of directors effective January 1, 2012. … Valerie Houghton joins Lockton as a health risk manager for its southeast operation, based in Atlanta. She has traveled around the world most recently she was a nutrition consultant with the SOS International Clinic in Baku, Azerbaijan.
