John Liberty Life Insurance Company welcomes Steven Harris, Jeffrey Robinson and Jay Rosencrance to its national sales team as VP/relationship managers. All three are industry veterans with experience in sales and business development for major insurance and annuity carriers. Robinson (Northwest region) has more than 20 years’ experience in regional life and annuity wholesaling for The Hartford, MFS/Sun Life Financial and Nationwide Financial. Rosencrance (Northeast region) was with Genworth/GE Financial for more than 10 years where he worked with the company’s retirement income and annuity channel. Harris (Southeast region) has held senior relationship management roles with Genworth Financial and Aegon/Transamerica. … Symetra Life Insurance Company announces the hiring of five new regional sales executives. Steve Bronder joins Symetra following a 25-year career in The Hartford’s Group Benefits Division. He will be based out of Symetra’s Bethel Park, Pa., office. (Territory: Michigan, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia). Mike Cosgrove most recently served as a senior group representative at The Standard. His benefits background also includes group sales roles at The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Liberty Mutual and MetLife. Cosgrove will be based in Chicago. (Territory: Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin). Chris Farmen brings to Symetra 20 years of group life and disability experience in the Florida marketplace. Most recently, Farmen was a marketing representative with Lincoln Financial Group, where he was responsible for the development and management of the Southwest Florida market. Farmen will be based in Tampa, Fla. (Territory: Florida). John Lawless comes to Symetra from Liberty Mutual, where he served as region manager for national accounts. He brings 20 years of experience in disability, leave administration and life insurance sales to mid-market and large employers. He will be based out of Symetra’s Richardson, Texas office. (Territory: Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas). Chris Tate joins Symetra from the  The Prudential Insurance Company of America and has a 14-year background in group life and disability sales. Tate will be based out of Symetra’s Exton, Pa., office. (Territory: Delaware, Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey). Securian Financial Group, Inc. announces the appointment of Executive Vice President Christopher M. Hilger president, effective January 1, 2012. According to Chairman and CEO Robert L. Senkler, Hilger succeeds Randy F. Wallake, vice chairman and president, who is retiring in the Summer of 2012. A 25-year veteran of the insurance industry, Hilger joined Securian in 2004. Wallake also an insurance industry veteran, joined Securian in 1987.
