Lockton has moved to expanded office space in the Renaissance Center in Memphis. Lockton opened its Memphis operations in June 2011 when Joe Lammel, a longtime Memphis insurance executive and adviser, joined Lockton as Executive Vice President for Lockton Memphis. The office has added five additional insurance professionals providing property-casualty insurance and employee benefits consulting to business clients. Transitions Optical, Inc. names Patrick Tibbs, financial services representative of Everence Financial Advisors of Goshen, Indiana as the 2011 Transitions Vision Benefits Broker of the Year. He is the second winner of this annual award and was honored during a celebratory event at the 16th annual Transitions Academy at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Fla.  Frank L. Hayes has been elected to the Companion Life Insurance Company Board of Directors. He is the owner and president of Hayes & Associates, LLC, a CPA and consulting firm he founded in 1983 in Omaha, Neb. Hayes has more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, including previous roles as the director of the tax department at Grant Thornton CPAs and an internal revenue agent for the Internal Revenue Service. The Graham Company announces the appointment of Michael J. Mitchell to vice chairman and Kenneth L. Ewell to president and COO. Both have served as executive vice presidents for the past three years. As Vice Chairman, Mitchell, who started at the brokerage 27 years ago, will focus on the planning, development and implementation strategies to support the brokerage’s growth for the decades to come. Ewell, who began his employment at the company in 1989, will now expand his duties to oversee all of the brokerage’s operations. Willis North America announces the appointment of Jim Blaney as CEO of Willis North America Human Capital Practice. He has been serving as president of the Practice since October 2011. Blaney assumes the role from Mike Barton as he returns to his former role as a producer after leading the practice for four years. Blaney will lead a team of more than 900 human capital professionals and will work closely with regional teams to drive growth and align resources.
