BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina names Donald Olson the executive vice president and chief operating officer of TCC of South Carolina. Olson has more than 30 years in health insurance and has held a variety of leadership positions in sales and marketing. His most recent experience includes positions in strategic marketing and business operations with two national health insurers. Previously, he held senior-level business development marketing positions at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Connecticut during a 17-year career there. Great-West Retirement Services appoints Troy Testa as regional sales director for Michigan. Testa is responsible for developing 401(k) plan business through brokers, financial advisers, consultants, wire houses and third-party administrators. He is based in Michigan and reports to Scott Barnett, Midwest regional vice president.  Before joining Great-West, Testa spent more than 10 years with OppenheimerFunds and he was a senior pension analyst with Mutual of Omaha. … For the second year in a row, Burr & Forman LLP has been named one of Atlanta’s Healthiest Employers, awarded by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. McWhinney is an industry management professional with nearly 30 years experience in leading life insurance and wealth management teams across Asia and Canada, including tenures with London Life Insurance Company, National Life Insurance Company and Manulife Financial Asia Division.  The U.S. business group of Sun Life Financial Inc. announced two regional vice presidents, Jay Hutchins and Marc Lower. Hutchins comes to Sun Life Financial from Colonial Life where he was vice president of broker marketing and sales. Lower joins from ING where he was head of voluntary sales and strategy. Hutchins will be based in Atlanta and be responsible for East Coast voluntary benefits distribution, while Lower will be based in Gig Harbor, Wash., and handle West Coast distribution. They will be responsible for building a team of voluntary specialists, all of whom will support Sun Life Financial’s existing group benefits representatives.  Evolution1 formed several key strategic partnerships with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Independent Health, Eide Bailly, Intuit, Regional Care, Nyhart Actuary & Employee Benefits, and TriZetto.
