Symetra Life Insurance Company announces the appointment of William (Bill) Edrington to managing director, Marketing and Business Development for the company’s Benefits Division. In this role, Edrington will help drive sales of Symetra’s medical stop-loss, group life and disability income, and limited benefit medical insurance through marketing campaigns and business development activities. He has been a Symetra regional vice president for the past 13 years, responsible for stop-loss sales and support in the company’s eastern region. He previously worked at ING, where he held a variety of sales and marketing positions. The National Institute of Pension Administrators announces the 2012-2013 officers and new board members. Paul DeSimone is the head of LIMRA’s compliance and regulatory services group. In this role, DeSimone oversees  the management  of LIMRA’s compliance products as well as the Regulatory Services Strategy Center, which was established in 2011 to assess global trends, regulations and issues that impact financial services companies and to drive industry thought leadership.  In addition, DeSimone will be responsible for developing business growth strategies and innovative product development.
