Investment Centers of America announces the appointment of Jim Komoszewski as regional manager and senior vice president of practice management. In his new role, Komoszewski will oversee the firm’s practice management program, which provides tools and resources that help financial advisers improve the efficiency and profitability of their practices. American United Life Insurance Company announces the appointment of Greg Kempton of One Team Financial Group LLC in Tampa, Fla. as general agent. Under Kempton’s leadership, the life insurance and financial services agency which was recently renamed and formerly known as American Financial Group of Florida, will continue to offer the products and services of the OneAmerica companies as well as financial guidance and support to clients in and around Tampa. Towers Watson appoints Ross Howard as global leader for its insurance and reinsurance brokerage business, effective from October 1, 2012. He will succeed Bill Eyre who, after 14 years in the position, will take on a newly developed role focused on client and market relationship development. Mutual of Omaha Retirement Plans Division names Brian Armstrong and Oliver Schulz as regional sales managers. Armstrong will cover the Central and South Florida market and is based out of Tampa. Schulz is based out of New York City and will focus his efforts on the New York metropolitan area. Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America names Paul Salm as the new assistant vice president of Compensation for Human Resources. In this role, Salm will be responsible for compensation and employee recognition to support client and business strategies. He will also manage compensation programs for more than 4,800 employees across Allianz of America, which includes Allianz Life and Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company. … Scott Bastian joins Lockton as a Vice President and Producer based in the insurance broker's Chicago office. He will be responsible for client advocacy and new business development in the employee benefits' consulting practice. Bastian brings more than 20 years of industry experience to Lockton, and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Consulting and Growth at a Milwaukee based benefits consulting firm. Lockton promotes Jay Knier to Unit Manager at Lockton's Atlanta office. In his new position, he will work with Lockton's team members serving commercial clients on their risk and insurance needs. Knier's experience includes 18 years of insurance brokerage background including three years at Lockton. He also held positions at Marsh and Wausau Insurance. Lincoln Financial Group announces that Ellen Cooper will join the company as executive vice president and chief investment officer, effective August 6.  In her role, she will be responsible for setting, implementing and providing strategic oversight and management of Lincoln Financial's investment strategy.
