Corporate Synergies Group has named Brian Feeley senior vice president of marketing. He will be responsible for strategic positioning, supporting the company’s sales function and promoting the organization. Feeley brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, communications and sales with Canon Business Solutions. He rose steadily through the ranks to the title of National Senior Director, Corporate Communications and Marketing Services. … Univers Workplace Solutions was selected as one of South Jersey’s Best Places to Work by South Jersey Biz Magazine as part of its annual reader-submitted contest. Univers was highlighted for its wide range of benefits, employee incentive and recognition programs and special corporate culture. … United Benefit Advisors announces that it has appointed Thomas Mangan as chief executive officer. He is a twenty year veteran in the employee benefits field, with vast experience in corporate leadership and an extensive background that spans sales, services and operations. Prior to joining UBA, Mangan served as the EB President of the New England Region of USI Insurance Services, president of the employee benefits division of HUB International, a leading global insurance brokerage; and president of Willis Life of Texas, where he also was South Central employee benefits practice leader. He is also a member of Employee Benefit Adviser’s advisory board.   Transamerica Employee Benefits adds a regional vice president and four area sales managers who will be responsible for the distribution of TEB products in their respective areas: Blake Mitchell joins TEB as regional vice president with more than 10 years of insurance industry experience. He will oversee the growing sales base in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Memphis, Tenn.; Chris Klonne will be overseeing TEB’s Ohio market. He formerly served as an independent sales agent, representing clients such as Anthem, United Health Care, Medical Mutual and Prudential, netting $2.4 million in new business growth since 2000; William Neely represents TEB in Central Florida and brings with him 17 years of insurance experience. He previously served as a worksite specialist at AIG Benefit Solutions where he was frequently awarded for his sales and managerial accomplishments; Deborah Neubert, with 20 years of insurance experience, will manage TEB’s South Florida territory. She most recently served as worksite sales representative for Assurant Employee Benefits and held various management positions during her tenure at Allstate Benefits and Unum. Ronnie Spedale has more than 19 years of experience in the insurance industry; he will oversee the Louisiana marketplace. Prior to joining TEB, he spent most of his career at Pan-American Life and helped grow the company’s worksite division from $25 million to $29 million in annual revenue. The Hartford has promoted Beth Bombara, the company’s senior vice president and corporate controller, to president of Life Runoff. In her new role, Bombara will have responsibility for managing The Hartford’s Life Other Operations reporting segment, which includes the legacy annuity business that is in runoff. She will report directly to Chairman, President and CEO Liam E. McGee and will also serve on the company’s Executive Leadership Team. John Hancock Funds names Andrew G. Arnott as president and chief executive officer, succeeding Keith F. Hartstein, who is retiring from the company as previously announced. Most recently, Arnott served as executive vice president of John Hancock Investment Management Services, which oversees all third party and internal asset manager relationships across the John Hancock and Manulife investment platforms in the U.S. and Asia.
