The Institutional Retirement Income Council announces the addition of Jeff Eng, director of retirement income solutions at Russell Investments, to its elite group of retirement plan advisers. Eng has more than 11 years of experience in the defined contribution industry and particular expertise in guaranteed DC plan retirement income solutions and is responsible for client education and advice on institutional retirement income solutions in the U.S. He joined Russell from AllianceBernstein, where he was most recently responsible for product development and strategic relationship management for Secure Retirement Strategies, AllianceBernstein’s multi-manager. Transamerica Employee Benefits unveils a team to provide support and services to national insurance brokerage and benefits consulting firms. Susan Elder, vice president of national account management and electronic enrollment solutions, joins TEB as the operational lead of its internal support team in the Little Rock, Ark. office. Elder brings extensive operational experience to the group and joins John Stanley, chief marketing officer of the employee benefits unit and Domenic Salvato, vice president of business development, in leadership positions for this emerging business unit. Unum announces that Timothy F. Keaney, vice chairman of BNY Mellon and CEO of BNY Mellon Asset Servicing, has been elected to serve as a director of the company. Keaney is a member of BNY Mellon’s executive committee, which oversees day-to-day operations for that organization. Prior to the merger of The Bank of New York Company, Inc., and Mellon Financial Corporation, Keaney was head of The Bank of New York’s asset servicing business and head of the company’s presence in Europe, with management responsibilities for all business activities in the region.  He joined The Bank of New York in 2000 as a managing director responsible for depositary receipts.   Jason Richardson has been named chief operating officer of Lockton’s Southeast operations with responsibility for offices in Atlanta, Greater Miami, and Charlotte, N.C. Richardson will be responsible for the overall operations of Lockton Southeast including leading service teams in risk management and employee benefits consulting services in the three offices. Richardson returns to his roots in Atlanta and the Southeast U.S. He began his insurance brokerage career with Hobbs Group in Atlanta which was later acquired by HRH. Most recently, Richardson was a regional partner with insurance broker Willis in Northern California and in Colorado where he was in charge of insurance and brokerage operations. … Steve Dziedzic, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Assurant Health moves to the newly created post of senior vice president, new business development, and Mark Berquist, vice president and chief actuary, is promoted to senior vice president, chief financial officer at the company, effective August 15. Dziedzic will lead a new team dedicated to developing innovative solutions that meet consumers’ need for affordability. He joined Assurant Health in 2000 and held various leadership roles in its actuarial and finance departments before being appointed chief financial officer in 2010. Berquist will serve as a member of the Assurant Health executive team. Since joining the company in 2002, Berquist has held a number of positions with progressive responsibility. In 2010, he became vice president and chief actuary, a role he will retain along with his CFO responsibilities.
