Elizabeth Bryant joins Mercer’s human capital consulting business in its south market. In her new role as partner, Bryant will be responsible for growing the firm’s human capital operations and technology business in the Washington, D.C., metro area. She brings to Mercer more than 20 years of experience in human resources, consulting for a variety of private and public sector organizations. Her areas of expertise within HR include operations and technology, talent management and workforce effectiveness. Prior to joining Mercer, she was an executive with IBM leading the company’s HR operations and technology practice for the federal sector. Prior to IBM, she was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers where she held a variety of leadership roles in the firm’s HR operations and workforce effectiveness practice areas. Burnham Benefits, one of the largest benefits brokerages in Southern California, welcomes its newest vice president, Scott Aston. Aston will focus on new business products, business development, account retention and technology platforms at Burnham Benefits, leveraging his expertise and extensive knowledge on both the brokerage and carrier sides of the business. Aston most recently served as vice president of employee benefits for BB&T Insurance Services of California. He has worked for Great-West Healthcare and New England Financial and earned a degree in business administration from Pepperdine University. MassMutual retirement services names three relationship managers. Eunice Cabrera has been promoted to senior relationship manager with the division. Based in Orlando, Fla., Cabrera serves on the south central region client management team, responsible for managing the division's retirement plan business in the mid-market segment. She first joined MassMutual in 2003, most recently serving as a retirement education specialist responsible for the Florida, Georgia, and Puerto Rico territories. … John Andresen joins MassMutual retirement services as a director-level relationship manager. Based in Northern California, Andresen is responsible for managing large-market customers and reports to Tom Cremona, vice president for the division. Prior to joining MassMutual, Andresen served two years with Smith Hayes as an investment consultant and registered investment adviser, and prior to that spent 10 years in benefits consulting and relationship management with Milliman. … Michael Gopen joins the MassMutual retirement services division as senior relationship manager and is responsible for managing mid-market customers in metro New York/New Jersey. Based in Port Jefferson Station, N.Y., Gopen serves on the northeast region client management team, reporting to M. Palmer Whitney, assistant vice president for the division. Prior to joining MassMutual on August 13, Gopen served as client relationship manager with Gallagher Retirement Services, a position he held since 2005. … Zywave, provider of software-as-a-service technology solutions for the insurance and financial services industries, names its Winnipeg, Manitoba office as the company Center of Excellence for Enterprise Services and Support.  A center of excellence is typically defined as a team or entity that provides leadership, best practices or centralized support for a particular topic.
