Michael Krupa joins Mercer as the technology strategist for its global talent business. In this role he will be responsible for further enhancing the vision and strategy for client-facing technology solutions that support product and consulting offerings across Mercer’s talent business. He reports to Kim Seals, global head of technology solutions within Mercer’s talent business, and is based in Mercer’s Portland, Oregon office. Mercer also announces that David Schweihs recently rejoined Mercer as a principal and senior member of the newly formed analytics and measurement solutions group within the health and benefits business a new position.  He reports to Lisa Black, who leads the Midwest health and benefits actuarial and financial group, and will be based in Mercer’s Chicago office. He returns to Mercer from United Healthcare, where he most recently held the position of vice president – customer analysis and solutions and advanced analytics, leading teams that provided clients analyses and insights into their medical plan offerings. … Symetra Life Insurance Company announces that Jeff Farmer has been named Eastern Region sales vice president for the company’s benefits division. He is responsible for leading the team that drives sales of Symetra medical stop-loss and group life and disability income insurance through benefits brokers and third-party administrators in 18 eastern and central states. He reports to Rick Lyons, vice president of sales and distribution, Symetra benefits division. Farmer joins Symetra from Mercer Health & Benefits, where he most recently served as partner and sales leader for Mercer’s South market, encompassing nine states from Florida to Maryland. He spent 11 years with the firm, initially hired by Marsh Employee Benefits Services before it became part of Mercer in 2004. Farmer previously held a variety of sales and management positions with Aetna, CNA and MetLife/MetraHealth. The Round Table of New York announces that Robert Kerzner, president and CEO of LIMRA, LOMA and LL Global, is the recipient of its 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award. The Round Table of New York presents its annual Lifetime Achievement Award to an individual who has made significant contributions to the insurance and financial services industry.
