Las Vegas reunion for brokers planned

An industry reunion is being planned for benefits brokers. The event, set for Sept. 8 and 9 in Las Vegas, will be an opportunity for brokers to reunite, share stories and take the time to remember colleagues who have passed away, says organizer Dan Jumonville. The Paris hotel and the adjacent Bally’s will be the headquarter hotels.

“Our industry has changed so much through the years. We used to get together four, five, six times a year — people that ran brokerage houses like mine — from all over the country but when health insurance became regionalized they quit having these national meetings,” Jumonville says. “I ran into a couple of my colleagues at a similar industry function and we decided we need to get a reunion together.”

Jumonville established a website where brokers can sign up, find a description of the events and see a list of those who have registered to attend. He hopes to have more than 100 participants.
