Insurance broker Lockton is stepping up its analytics game with two major appointments.

Justin VanOpdorp has been elevated to the position of chief analytics officer, a first for the company. VanOpdorp has been with Lockton since 2006 and helped build the P&C analytics practice. Responsible for business intelligence and analytics, VanOpdorp also has worked for GE Insurance Solutions, Fireman’s Fund, and Milliman.

In addition, Mark Moitoso joins the company as SVP and analytics practice leader after a 25-year career at Liberty Mutual Insurance. He is charged with providing actionable advice to P&C clients on their insurance programs and claims. At Liberty, he was last EVP and GM of national accounts.

“These appointments are part of our ongoing investment in analytics that help our clients improve their operations, make informed business decisions, and reduce costs,” said Glenn Spencer, COO of Lockton. “Justin is a proven leader who has built a strong analytics team that delivers results for clients.

"We are excited that Mark Moitoso is joining our business," Spencer added. "He is a respected insurance leader who will expand our analytics capabilities and deliver practical solutions to clients.”
