Mercer adds non-health benefit carriers to private exchange

Mercer’s private exchange now has more than 20 carriers signed on to provide benefits, including dental, vision, life and disability products. The most recent additions include some non-health insurance companies and were announced this morning as follows:

•        Allstate Benefits

•        Delta Dental

•        EyeMed Vision Care

•        InfoArmor

•        ING U.S.

•        MetLife

•        Prudential Group Insurance

•        The Hartford

•        Unum

•        VPI Pet Insurance

•        VSP® Vision Care

EBA reported last week on the initial list of 10 medical carriers that will be available on the exchange including Aetna, Cigna and UnitedHealthCare, amongst others. The exchange is gearing up to launch for the 2014 year.
