Observing National Employee Benefits Day

Today marks the eighth annual celebration that honors the important work benefits practitioners and professional advisers do on behalf of North America’s workforce.

National Employee Benefits Day was created in 2004 by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and is celebrated annually each April, commemorating the date the Foundation was established.

The IFEBP created the day to garner recognition for benefits professionals and to provide a vehicle for better educating employers and employees about benefits topics.

Leading up to National Employee Benefits Day, Borislow Insurance in Methuen, Mass., observed Consumer Driven Health Improvement Week March 26-30 with the support of all New England governors, plus others across the country. Listen in as Principal Mark Gaunya discusses their effort to get the word out on health education as a method of cost reduction.
