Optum and benefitexpress partner on ben admin solution

In an effort to make a more integrated service between healthcare and benefits management, benefitexpress and Optum have teamed up to bring a more comprehensive approach to benefits administration.

In this partnership, Optum will use benefitexpress as its enrollment service provider, offering benefitexpress’ full suite of benefit selection and enrollment technology to employers, along with the back-end administrative services and support employers need to make benefits easy to access and understand for their employees.

“Simply stated, this will make it easier for employers to manage benefits and services for their employees,” Kvadus says. Once the relationship is fully implemented, benefitexpress will refer its clients to Optum Bank for HSA services.

Between both companies, Optum plans to deliver products and services that implement the use of data-driven decision-support solutions, while benefitexpress will utilize a flexible, cloud-based platform for employee benefits and health exchange services.
