Updated Kronos Workforce Ready reduces employee onboarding time

HR technology provider Kronos’s new update to its mobile human capital management suite, Kronos Workforce Ready, aims to make easier one of HR professionals most time-consuming responsibilities: onboarding.

The update reduces the amount of time and the number of taps a new recruit has to use when applying for a new job on a smartphone or tablet, and adds new compliance tools for HR directors and time-scheduling tools for employees.

Additionally, the update allows a new or current employee to view their schedule, edit their timecard and review benefits election status from the home screen. HR administrators and the employee’s manager can view alerts, exceptions and requests that require a response. The new update does not compel them to navigate to additional screens within the mobile app.

The updated app also addresses benefits enrollment, self-service scheduling, time punching, and accessing important payroll and tax information issues.

“Workforce Ready has always had a mobile application, but with this update, we’ve made enhancements to the user experience in addition to delivering broader functionality that both employees and managers can complete from the app,” says Kronos.

“Two of the most important drivers of workforce performance and operational excellence are actionable analytics and mobile technology,” says Steve Goldberg, vice president and research director, Ventana Research, a human resource research firm based in Bend, Oregon. “These factors were cited, respectively, by 76% and 49% of organizations surveyed in our HCM benchmark research.”

Kronos declined to state the mobile app’s pricing. Users can download the app from Apple AppStore or from Google Play.
